Degree Program Procedure

1. Examination of theses submitted on a regular basis
A. Master’s
Admission Submission and examination of proposal Completion of program Submission of thesis for examination
From 2nd semester onward, up to 6 months before thesis submittal. Amended version to be submitted within 1 week after examination Enroll at least 4 semesters, acquire at least 24 credits Application, 4 copies of thesis (upload to Ucups), documentation
Preliminary examination Final examination Submission of examination report Report to General Graduate School Steering Committee
At least 80 points to pass Open general examination administered (Submittal of published article) Passing dissertations must receive consenting votes from 2/3 of examiners; prepare 6 hard cover volumes Submission of 2 hard cover volumes after completion of examination, by closing of thesis submittal deadline

B. Doctoral

At least 80 points to pass Open general examination administered (Submittal of published article) Passing dissertations must receive consenting votes from 4/5 of examiners; prepare 8 hard cover volumes Submission of 2 hard cover volumes after completion of examination, by closing of dissertation submittal deadline
Commencement Ceremony 1 independent volume of the dissertation
Submission to Academic & Student Affairs Team of Graduate School within 1 year of graduation
2. Examination of theses submitted on a rolling basis

A. Master’s

Admission Completion of program Publishing in domestic or international academic journal Submission of thesis for examination
Enroll at least 4 semesters, acquire at least 24 credits Refer to degree thesis submittal qualifications Application, 4 copies of thesis (upload to Ucups), documentation
Preliminary examination Final examination Submission of examination report Report to General Graduate School Steering Committee
At least 80 points to pass Open general examination administered (Submittal of published article) Passing dissertations must receive consenting votes from 2/3 of examiners; prepare 6 hard cover volumes Submission of 2 hard cover volumes after completion of examination, by closing of dissertation submittal deadline

※ If a person conferred a doctoral degree engages in acts which harm the honor or the

doctoral degree, the degree may be canceled by resolution of the Graduate School

Steering Committee.
