The Department of Anesthesiology is responsible for anesthesiology training and practice in the medical school, for the anesthetic requirements of every surgery of the hospital, for clinical consultation for out-patients with acute or chronic pain in the Pain Clinic, for care of critically ill patients, and for Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation. In particular, our dedicated human resources have all the knowledge, experience and cutting-edge equipment required for monitoring and patient care, thereby enabling safe, error-free anesthetic control of every transplant operation involving major organs - including the heart, liver and kidneys - and of a range of highly difficult surgical procedures.
