The department has been teaching statistical methodologies for various fields of medical science as a Masters course since 1997. We aim to cultivate our students problem-solving ability via the application of the statistical theory they learn on the course to real-life situations in medical science, nursing and health care. Our main focus is on fostering experts for fields in need by building up academic expertise to provide clinical study protocol design and statistical methods for medical research, as well as the communication skills required for effective collaboration. Most of the departments graduates work for pharmaceutical companies, Contract Research Organizations (CROs), hospitals, bio-venture companies, government agencies, and schools, etc.
