Our department, established in St. Marys Hospital in 1957, has produced about 280 specialists in radiology and nuclear medicine since first welcoming resident fellows to the department in 1966. The departmental staff currently comprises 73 faculty members, 5 clinical instructors, and 39 resident fellows who are fulfilling their duties in research, clinical consultation, and education.
We cover various techniques ranging from simple imaging using X-ray and special imaging using contrast agents to Computed Tomography (CT), ultra-sonography using ultrasound, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine test using radioisotopes, and Positron Emission Tomography (PET). Recently we took the lead in the digitalization of our medical field by introducing a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
